2008 Poster Contest
The International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Boston Regional Student Poster Contest will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 6-8 PM at Northeastern University!
Come see presentations of exciting interdisciplinary research related to pharmaceutical technology from schools including NU, BU, MIT, WPI and UMass Amherst. Pizza and dessert will be served!

Summary of Northeastern University ISPE Chapter Activities in 2006 - 2007
NU-ISPE began the 2006 academic year in September with a well-attended Open House inviting new members and planning monthly events. From that, point NU-ISPE constructed a platform of speakers and scheduled events for the 2006 - 2007 school year.
2006 Product Show at Gillette Stadium
In October of 2006 and 2007, several members and officers attended the largest to-date annual ISPE Product Show at the Gillette Stadium, where students explored product designs with representatives from over 100 companies!
2007 Poster Contest
The annual poster contest was held in the summer, with contestants from Northeastern U., Worcester Polytechnic, and U. Mass. This year, Northeastern PhD candidate Ece Gamsiz won the Graduate division!
Speakers for ISPE
The backbone of ISPE activity is the speakers that give educationally current talks from industry. Some include:
- February 2006: Dr. Linda Tempelman: Giner Inc. Biomedical Technologies, Blood-Alcohol wrist Sensor
- March 2006: Adam St. Jean (NU alumnus): Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Drug Development Process - Where Engineers Fit
- November 2006: Alex Busch: Shire Pharmaceuticals, Spoke from his fresh experience about a young graduate's role in pharmaceutical research and graduate school abroad
- January 2007: Jonathon Royce: Millipore. Discussed his experience in R&D and showcased a few devices he helped develop
- April 2007: Padma Narayan: TransForm Pharmaceuticals, Drug Delivery
Toys for Tots
NU-ISPE officers participated in an ISPE-Boston chapter sponsored "Toys for Tots."
