Webster Elected as Overseas Fellow
Chemical Engineering Professor and Chair Thomas Webster was recently elected as an Overseas Fellow to the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) of the United Kingdom.
"Each year, an elite group of physicians or scientists is elected to the Royal Society of Medicine following nomination and committee review. Independent and apolitical, the Society provides a neutral platform for informed debate about important, often controversial, healthcare topics. Former fellows include Charles Darwin, Louis Pasteur, Edward Jenner and Sigmund Freud. Past presidents include some of which have had diseases named after them due to their medical contributions: Richard Bright (1837), Thomas Addison (1849), Joseph Hodgson (1851), Sir James Paget (1875), and Frederick William Pavy (1900). Elected fellows of the Royal Society of Medicine are comparable to members of the National Academy of Medicine in the United States."
Congratulations Professor Webster on an incredible accomplishment!
